ANNEALED GLASS-

Annealed Glass is the most common glass. Mainly used in single pane window sash and double pane (Insulated Glass) units.Annealed

glass can be cut multiply times and used for many applications. What is more commonly referred to with this glass is the way it breaks. Annealed glass breaks in large pieces, meaning it is not safety glass. The good news is, our technicians keep a wide stock of single pane glass on there trucks to repair a window sash immediately. Even double pane glass (Insulated Glass) can be made at our in house IG shop for quick turn around times as fast as same day Emergency Services ( 24/7 Glass Service) or even next day install.

TEMPERED GLASS-

Tempered Glass is the industry standard when it comes to safety glass. Just like annealed glass, tempered glass is used in window sashs, but normally only for one reason. If a window is within a certain amount of inches from a door or so far off the ground it must be tempered by code. This is due to the fact that tempered glass breaks into tiny tiny pieces. On top of being around a door, any glass in a door such as french doors, sliding doors, storefront doors, and showers doors the glass must be tempered or some sort of safety glass. While this is a nice feature for whom ever falls through the door it can be inconvenient trying to get it fixed. Tempered glass only has so many sizes that are standard and kept in stock. Most Storefront door glass is standard and keep in stock, but if it is not standard a Laminated glass replacement may be the only option in a Emergency Repair situation. Most other door glass is keep in stock also such as Sliding glass doors (typically used in patios) and French Door Glass. If any custom size temp glass has to be made it must be ordered and measured to the 1/16 of a inch since it CAN NOT be cut after tempering and can take from 3-5 days to get. This is with any glass company due to the volume of glass being ordered and a limited amount of tempering glass plants.

LAMINATED GLASS-

Like tempered glass, laminated is a safety glass, but you can cut it. Laminated

is mainly used for Emergency Services or jobs with a dead line that will not

allow for tempering times. When this glass breaks it will create a spiderweb

effect, but will not fall out of the storefront door or window sash because of the

plastic between the panes. Think of a windshield on a car, a rock can hit it while

driving and crack it, but the glass dose not shatter or fall out of your car.

Laminated glass is keep at our shop for any immediate home glass repair, window

sash repair or storefront repair.

LOW E or ENERGY EFFICIENT GLASS

Low E glass is offered in Annealed and Tempered Glass. Low E has now become

a standard in New Window Replacement and Sliding Door Replacement Frames.

The energy star ratting depends on the brand of glass. The most common used

is Cardinal 366 which offers a slight tint, but effective result in cutting down your

power bill. Low E glass can only be used on Double Pane (Insulated Glass) Units.

So when it comes down to changing your old worn out windows to brand new

Vinyl, Aluminum, Or Wood windows always choose LOW E Glass and get the bang

for the buck.

WINDOW REPAIR or SLIDING GLASS DOOR REPAIR

Yes, you do not have to replace your window sash or sliding glass doors because

they are not working anymore. We are one of the few companies that can still

order and replace parts for windows and sliding glass doors. Rather your window

will not stay up or lock we can repair your window sash. If your sliding glass door

will not close or lock properly we can repair that.

WINDOW REPLACEMENT or SLIDING GLASS DOOR REPLACEMENT

Okay, It has come that time that you either have decided to do Window Replacements or it is the only option, we can handle all of your concerns. Our company specializes in retro fitting windows. We use existing casing around the window to fit in a new Window Sash or Frame. You can choose from vinyl, aluminum, or wood. When the technician comes out to measure they can discuss the advantages of each style.

I think we all know what a mirror is, but what you may not know is

that there are different styles of mirror. 1/4 Thick, 1/8 Thick, and

Mirror pane ( 2 Way Mirror). We can cut and install for full Mirror

Walls or your Vanity Mirror.
